About MTA Trekking

MTA Trekking was born from a simple but powerful idea — that the best person to show you the mountains is someone who grew up in them.

A group of experienced local guides came together with one shared goal: to create a trekking company that was truly rooted in the communities, trails, and culture of Nepal. Not a company that visits these mountains — but one that belongs to them.

We are not a corporate agency. We are mountain people. Our guides have spent their entire lives on the trails they lead you through — learning the land, reading the weather, and building relationships with the families and teahouses along the way. When you trek with MTA, you're not just a client on an itinerary. You're a guest in the place we call home.

We have been committed to one thing above all else — giving every trekker an experience that is honest, safe, and deeply connected to the real Nepal. Not a packaged version of it.
